Many people took for granted the 3500 ft. of bulrushes along Anglers Bay- until a proposed development of 35 to 50 homes
put them at risk. Now, 2/3 of a mile of natural shoreline is threatened.
You can help!!! The Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation has secured the opportunity to purchase the site forever preventing
it from development. Through donations by Spirit Lake landowners, Dickenson County and other area investments,
and an initial grant from the Iowa Legislature, we are closer to reaching our goal of $500,000.
